Snakeheads in Oregon? ok maybe not

Just picked up half dozen of these Ctenopoma kingsleyae, they remind me of snakeheads the way they look at you.

they are not really this green but I couldn't figure out how to get back to the original pic after I hit some stupid auto enhance button when I was cropping the pic
 
they look great! I love that sleepy eyed look they give you! lol

Congrats on your find! I am currently doing research on these guys since I am planning an African oddball tank and I want one for centerpiece.
Hows the aggression between them? Do you keep them with plants? If so, do they act like other ctenopomes and hide and wait for prey?
 
Very nice! I never see them for sale and I think they look awesome!

sounds like a cool tank :)

No aggression between them yet, the tank is full of all types of Anubius, they are more open water type fish than an ambush predator, haven't observed them hiding in the plants at all.
