Snakes on pinkies.

If I were to feed live rodents, I would breed my own. While I do not 'like' mice or rats, buying them every week at retail prices would get expensive fast. Locally (to me) live pinkies sell for $1~$2, yet my online supplier sells frozen for $0.16

I have no idea if there are Asia online suppliers of frozen rodents.
 
If you don't have a salary you shouldn't have a snake, or any pet for that matter. Do not get something you cannot provide for.

Rabbit Pinkies or Fuzzies will fit perfectly down a smaller Snakes gullet.........
 
I have enough brains to realise that I need money to happily sustain a snake properly. I would once again, buy frozen if I had the choice too. And now, I'm only left with the option for live, which I will have to pre-kill. And to pre-kill is an idea which I don't like at all, which way involves the least possible amount of violence or thumping?
 
I just read from anapsid that this can be done using a carbon dioxide chamber. Has anyone tried this before? What are the precautions for humans and for feeding the "gassed" rats to snakes?
 
gassed animals is a pita. freeze them its easier . either grab them by the tail and whack them on a brick or just put them in the freezer and they will go out in a lil while .we put 200+ live mice at a time in the freezer in boxes and in 60 min they r frozen.

A pita? I did think of freezing but I wouldn't think of it as a humane way. I mean, how would you like if someone let you freeze to death? Though I prefer that as opposed to violent thumping.
 
That's definitely going to get on my abbreviation list. But why is gassing such?
