Im hopping that you are not taking ligthy the rattle snake option, thouse are in general very dangerous snakes.

dont even thinking about rattle, emerald tree boa or the chondro (green tree python). i'd look at ball python (lots of different morphs to choose from), blood python, etc. are you looking for a colubrid or a boiid species?

northern pacific ratlers are as easy as corn snakes the only difference is they can cause serious injury or death. but is being saved for last, when more snake experience comes, because when yah keep rattlers its a matter of when not if yah get bit.

I think Iam leaning towards colubrid species.

dont keep a hot snake unless you are sure you 100% want it. then push the idea to the back of your head, wait a year, and if you still are 100% determined to get one, go for it, do the training and stuff. i dont know how easy/difficult they are to keep, im honestly a boiid guy myself, but i have a feeling its not going to be as easy as a corn :screwy:

Well corns are the easiest to care for. But personally I'd go with a black rat snake.

so far narrowed down to these:

Leucistic (Black Eye) Texas Rat Snake
Black (Anery) Corn Snake
Bloodred Corn Snake
Hi White California Kingsnake
Baja California Mountain Kingsnake
Mexican Kingsnake
Black Mexican Kingsnake

Ill try to get one of these locally if not online sources.

how generalexotics.com rate.

and later in life a rhino iguana.

Here is the list of reptiles ill try to get in my future:

Leucistic (Black Eye) Texas Rat Snake
Black (Anery) Corn Snake
Bloodred Corn Snake
