beautiful snappers... i miss mine... but i have the paints to fill the void... looks like yours are healthy and happy..
Good looking snapper. Do you feed her in a seperate tank or tub? Those stones are pretty small. I'd worry that the turtle might accidently ingest some if fed in the tank.
Awesome animal! I really miss my snapper. I had one for a few years that was eventually released into a local farm pond. Raised it from about the size of a 50 cent piece to just about 6" long shell. So much fun!
thats great that it lets you handle ityes i actually feed her in a small rubbermaid tub. she has never been aggressive at all. she paces the tank when i get home from work for food then about an hour after eating she paces to come out and roam. every day when i hold her for a bit she actually falls asleep in my hands. let me tell ya, when a snapper sleeps they are dead to the world. ill get a picture of her passed out and post it when i can.
