I don't know anything about care and feeding, and can't see your location on my phone, but I do know in certain areas there are restrictions/laws/regulations on wild caught species that can be kept, as some are protected in certain areas.
I'd check to make sure it was legal to keep it first...

I wouldnt say wild turles are unsuitable to live in aquaria as all animals in the pet trade were once "wild animals". Where in ohio are you seppi? Im in youngstown and have only seen midland painted turtles out so far. It is legal to collect as many snappers as you please with an ohio fishing liscence during season if you intend to eat them lol....pretty positive you can keep any snapper under 4" carapace. Those over 4" are another story, you need a liscence to keep or sell them $25-$35 and an additional chip put in them that is $10. Once your liscence is obtained you can keep up to 4 adult breeder sized snappers that are wild caught. Even worse idea to release it into a non-private pond as it is illegal to move them from waterways or put them back after a couple days. Ohio.gov has all the laws and information i missed or left out. Def. Google and read them to get the straight facts. Nice turtle and good find!
