lack color????? a 2ft umbee is a pretty monster fish imo loaded with personality and intellegence.
Just a quick update:
Stand is stained and sealed. Also just fiberglassed the inside bottom of it to catch some water in case of a leak.
Per JK47's expert advise, the below image shows the Great Stuff Pond Foam in action on the background. I started to grind down the edges (top of pic) using a Dremel and then painted a small area (not in pic) to match the background's color and to my surprise it's coming out great, matches very well.
I will send more detailed pics when BG is all done.

So I spent the last 2 weeks working on this set up. The BG was a pain, especially with the overflows and cutting the slits (see pic). However I'm very pleased with the outcome.
Staining and sealing the stand as well as fiberglassing the bottom was time consuming but worth the effort. Let's hope it can hold the weight when filled!
I also have the LEDs blaring, only 2 strips of TrueLumen 12k lights this bad boy up nicely.
Plumbing and filling it will happen Monday.

going to be nice! rays/peacock bass would be cool, so would umbee , i didn't realize how elitist this forum is lol everyone is so opinionated about their 'personal' preference it's hilarious
Thanks for the comments guys. Here are a few more pics of us lifting it into the house, needless to say, it was a bear. I will take some pics once the water clears up and I'll include my filtration, drip/drain system etc.
Wow, incredible. Very nice. Great work on the stand. hmmm, lets seeeee.... i'd do an amazonian theme perhaps. lots of schools of tetras and angels and catfish.
