Infact isn't the Snow varient caused by Leucism?? So Silver arowana would not necassarily be an incorrect id or even close to incorrect. Let me know if it is a different species so that I can understand.

it is not "R1's" fault defining it as Platinum... the word platinum has been synonymously associated to white-platinum color by fellow hobbyist. this is the reason why some of us or most of us like me would classify our fish with different color as platinum when they are white or whitish...
besides.. it is platinum for some of us and leucism for some.. the word "leucistic" does not even exist in the dictionary.. maybe later on....
hard to define some fish in colors then....
