i recently bought a snowflake eel(Gymnothorax tile) yesturday but im trying to see if he will eat but he doesent, im thinking hes probly just getting used to the tank..suggestions

is it a brackish tank, because if isn't its not going to eat and will probably die

where i bought it the store clerk said they need brackish or fully marine as it gets older but for now its ok in fresh..he said krill or blood worms but he ignores it

it's not uncommon for morays to go off feed for weeks at a time, even months. theyre extremely hardy animals, so just leave him to get settled in and offer some meaty food like smelt or shellfish. the krill should work. although you should get the fish in brackish asap, and eventually to marine. and i hope you have a lid for the tank.

good move.. though it's not so much jumping as wriggling free i'd be concerned about. they'll squirm out of holes you dont even worry about.

yea i preety much got it the top is closed, he cant go throgh the filter and yea..he keeps opening his mouth wide and showing his teeth like yawning wut does that mean

get him in brackish
