@Ptrick125: Thanks for the info. I did not know if they were captive bred or not. It didn't say anywhere online. Knowing that now, it makes sense that they would be stubborn about picking off inverts. WWM did say that if it was overfed, it would cause health problems. How fed is overfed? Do you know? Should I be feeding him daily, more, less?
Oh, and can I tong train an eel? I know they have poor eyesight so it might not matter, but I've read about several people training their animals (albeit mostly lizards) to respond to tongs as a food signal and take the food from there. I was wondering if that would work with an eel. I figure its worth a thought if nothing else....
