So about feeding frozen market shrimp

I wanted to feed my Bichirs some frozen shrimp. Thing is on the backside it says that there is a chemical used as a preservative inside it. Would it harm them in any way ? It was the only thing that was in it other than shrimp and water. Google said it was fine but just wanted to make sure.

I use the peeled , deveined, and tail removed on my rays and arrowanas with no problem. I get it raw from Walmart. Been using it for a while.

Got it. Fed some to my little ones after washing them and chopping them up to small pieces. One swallowed a huge piece somehow and now has a big belly. Hope hes fine.

He'll be fine,they're always hungry when small. Mine always looked like this after it ate a large meal.

Awww just like mine ! Adorable . I also observed them a little and they seem to do something weird. They "try" to swim up the water that comes from my filter outlet. They just casually jump and try to swim through the little waterfall like salmon. Why would they do this ? Are they stressed ?
