irvine lake awesome roided out trout and good bass fishing just rent a boat.....santa ana river lakes trout and the almighty sturgeon...huntington harbor if you wana do some salt fishing just walk along the docks and cast out there are tons of spot bay bass, calis , sharks , bat rays , sting rays , and even halibut....if you feel like driving theres corona lake awesome lmb lake along with trout and stripers. i prefer to fish the harbors newport is another good one and the jettis are fun too ...the new jetti that they built on pch that connects the wetlands to the beach is really blowing up ....halibut maks for fun and good size croakers run through there....pm me if you need some more info about gear and lures
