That's true i see your point I stated it already as it's temporary. That tank however IMO however looks about 6 feet long or more. And just because of a fish's eventual size doesn't mean they'll need the same size tank as an adult as a juvy. Like people grow out pbass in a 55 before going into a 220. Ya feel? The dorados and bass look around a foot in length due to coloration and body shape. I'm sure almost everyone has plopped a 1-2 inch fish that grows to 7 inches in a 20 gallon but has a 75 ready for it when it grows up.

Not to get off topic but I don't want to start a new thread with this video but How does the filter in the right corner work. I have seen DIY videos on how to make these and they don't make any sense. How is that filtering anything? water is just passing by these little ceramic pieces.
oh and I don't think it is cruel the fish all look very healthy no damaged fins. Dorado looks like it is upsetting everything but looks like everyone was fine before the dorado addition.
Bio filtration, water only passes threw the filter as well? Unless you have uv
The bacteria that convert ammonia to nitrite to nitrate form cultures in the bio rings
It won't help with water clarity but will help maintain good perimeters

So it just adds in the bio filtration, has this method been proven to work? Does the churning of the ceramic pieces help with the cultures? In my canister filters I have the bio filtration but I also have carbon and sponges to catch derbies.
Yea just bio filtration, yes it works in the exact same way your filter does but as for the media being agitated it is said to be better but I personally don't think it makes much if any difference
