More like there's an over abundance of children who need mommy and daddy to buy their fish for them... Or maybe that's just over on Fishlore.

Hey man, she lets me stay up late as I want and packs my lunch for me.

It's just the state of country right now. Perpetual adolescents. I seen a guy pushing his 5-7 yr old son in a baby stroller yesterday. The kids feet were dragging.

But my mommy needs to buy me my fishey and fishey food.... My mommy needs to clean my tanks bc shes my mommy.

I met a guy a couple years ago in his 30's living in parents garage with a wife and kids. Big tanks and expensive fish, I'd guess well over 10K into the hobby. Just my opinion, but if you're single I kinda understand, but not with a wife and kids. No way my wife would go for that.

maybe it is my city rent is disgusting and house price?
Hello; While rents and house prices are high now, it seems they were a struggle back 40 to 50 years ago. I did without in order to be out on my own. I had small tanks or sometimes only one tank often. The basic answer is highlighted in the quoted comments below. It is just too easy to let mommy and/or daddy take care of basic needs such as housing, electricity, food and such so that darling son or daughter can have fun things.
The grandson of my neighbor is living with him. Has been for years. Somehow cannot manage a place of his own but has fun stuff like a motorcycle and vacations to Gatlinburg. The grandson has also moved in his wife and two kids. They have two full sized trucks. they all have smart phones and nice clothes.
Money goes farther when you do not have to pay rent, utilities and such.

It's because they don't want to sacrifice a fun lifestyle and material items to be a responsible adult. This comes from my experience employing 20-something's over the last 10 years. I call my crew the "lost boys" like in Peter Pan. None of them want to save a dime, live paycheck to paycheck and stay with their parents but will buy the latest iphone, gaming console, weed, etc.

When does this "Responsible adult" thing actually actually start being worth it? Because, I've been waiting for almost 20 years and I'm not seeing much argument for it.
