The plan was to get some credit for some fronts at my fish store. I had $50 credit and needed some schooling fish for my 180. So I bought 4 tinfoil barbs ( good choeice), 3 clown loaches (think it's still a decent choice) and one clown knife (think this was the bad choice). The 180 has a black aro and 2 retics, so I'm not sure if the loaches will do good with the rays. If not, I'll put them in my 150 w some of my sa/ca cichlids. Not real sure what I'm gonna do with the CK. All fish are in my 55 for now for qt.

only reason i could see the loaches being bad with the rays is all that extra movement at the bottom might upset them - probably a good plan to put them in the other tank

Sort of what I was thinking.

Clown Knife get so big, 180 probably too small.

Stickies say 180 is minimum. I always thought they grew too big as well, but I kept thinking about the sticky in the back of my mind lol.

I think the clown knife will be fine in the 180 for a long time. When he's big that guy will eat a TON of food though! I don't think the loaches will bother the rays as I've seen this combo done many times successfully, but if you have problems it shouldn't be too hard to move them! Good luck!
