im so confused... So say I want a lens strictly for my fish and then a lens strictly for nature....?

no lens is strickly for anything. You should do some research on photography before you buy anything. and this way you can decide what you wil need. You will need a speedlight and a micro lens for your fish pics.

everything else is up to you. (all depends on what you shoot).

this is me trying to do some research. I need a new camera and know I will be buying upgrades along the way but trying to get a decent idea what i need to get going

I have 7 lens. I cold theoretically use them all for either aquatic photography or for nature.

Prime lenses (non-zoom) will give you the best images, since having a lens perform a zoom function compromises the image quality to some degree. I tend to use only primes for shooting fish since I have much more control than in shooting wildlife.

Prime lenses, especially when you get into the longer focal lengths will cost a fortune, and thats where the zooms come into play. You can reach out to 300mm with a rather inexpensive lens, but if you plan to track a bird across the sky or shoot a hockey player across a rink where you can't use flash, that same lens simply won't perform. To shoot a bird sitting perched, it will do fine and to shoot a football huddle it will be fine.

I didn't see anywhere on there whether they are selling usa or grey market products. Based on the price alone it might be grey market. I would go ask and find out before buying from them since you might run into problems if you happen to need work done on the camera or lens. I would personally skip on the sigma lens and all the other accessories they offer with the kit like tripods, flash, etc. since those are pretty much very low grade stuff that you'll probably won't end up using or just end up replacing. For flash you want something like an Sb-600 or Sb-800. For tripod, you should spend more money on quality tripod and ballheads and don't trust putting your expensive gear on a cheap tripod. Also the 18-55mm they offer is probably the mk1 instead of the mk2. The mk2 or the VR version is the one you should be looking at if you happen to be buying that particular lens. So in short I would probably go looking somewhere to buy my kit.
