Also nice little ones OP. Yes, festae are fish that you gotta be in with for the long haul, especially if you got them as small as you did. Keep it up, you'll have masterpieces to look forward to in the long run.

Actually festae are a favorite of mine. The first I ever owned were the most spectacular fish I ever owned. They were about 2.5" and the fins were super red with blues spangled. The bodies more yellow than any I've seen since with nice dark bars. Beautiful.

The last ones I owned all died in a power outage that killed every fish I owned but my beani and one la cieba Freddy. Haven't had the heat to try them since. Great fish.

Well i am happy tonsay i have a female that is starting to color up spectacularly and another larger male whose showing nice color if i can find the pictures ill post them. We however did lose one of the six a few days ago looks to be due to fighting. But there getting much bigger.

Well its years later and we only have one left. Its a male and hes pretty large.
