The fish tanks all use the same water system, the oscars are probably already diseased.
That's mwhat I was going to say, but good job anyway Lady!

lol, pwnd

Also, as a former Wal Mart employee I would like to let everyone know this isn't a practice Wal mart tells their employees "feed the dieing fish to the bigger fish". They have their own food to feed each fish. It maybe a burnt out Department Manager, believe me about 80% of people that work that have worked at a Wal Mart 10+ years so most just don't care anymore. Its like all jobs work there for so long and you start to hate your job.

Oh, I have no idea if they are told to feed them to the Oscars or what. At one time there was a girl that worked there, she was actually really decent to talk to. I hadn't seen this guy before, so I believe he must be new and just had fun watching the O eat the little feeders.

Hmm, never thought about the fact they all have the same water...poor fishies:(

Personally, I feed mine all sorts of stuff as I believe many ppl do, it really wasn't a matter of what was cheapest for Wal-Mart...as I said I think it was just fun for him.

atta girl!

IMO Every Wal-Mart Fish section I've ever seen has been a friggin TRAIN WRECK

They seriously need to give it up or start training people. VERY sad

They'll sell you an Oscar and a 10 gallon tank..."have a nice day", and even throw in a smiley sticker for ya
;)

poor oscar stupid employee

It must be very different in the us then where I am in Canada as I have never seen a fish at my walmart bigger then 2 inch except the gold fish, the gold fish they have are normally twice the size of the oscars they get. They do take pretty good care of the fish and tanks at the one local to me but they will like stated sell you 2 oscars and a 5 or 10 gallon tank with a smile though, They really should not sell fish unless they at least have tanks you can buy that will fit your fish in my opinion anyway, the biggest tank they have at the walmart here for sale is a 39 gallon hex, not even the standard 55 that most carry.

I don't even go to the local wal-mart's at all for fish supplies just because of the state of the fish sections. I can't stand to see animals treated like that and neglected. I have heard many wal mart employees laughing telling jokes at parties about feeding such and such fish to this fish and pulling fish out and just dropping them on the floor...I've heard a lot of "first hand" nightmare stories about animals in wal mart and how they are kept. I always tell the stupid ingrates that tell these stories so easily and without a drop of remorse, "How would you like to be fed to something that would love to eat you in a second?", or how about "Me just dropping you into a lake off a bridge into the water so YOU can't breathe. And I always get the same stupid answer....they're just fish....:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::nilly::irked::character0087::mad::mad::jaw-dropp:angryfire:wall::WTF:
