could that mean there are multiple maximum sizes?

Just like how some regions host different sizes of humans?

It makes me wonder if better record keeping of Motoro genetics in captivity could eventually produce a dwarf species, especially with the help of hybridization (eg; tigon)..

Interesting...I suppose its possible.

Kind of like how some Aros vary greatly?

exactly.. maybe everyone stating that 'Motoros can get huge!' is really only an isolated siutation like Yao Ming and Shaquile O'Neal.

perhaps 18-20" is more the avg.. ?

I agree with you 100% People are quick to say motoros get 36 inches but no one owns one this size and if they see one it is one specimen at a public aquarium. If 24" is an average then you have to have some 16 inchers mixed in with some 30 inchers.

i think that they average 18-20" range. i know someone that has some long term motoros that are this size. i have developed interest in marbles and my two males clasper's are fully developed at about 8" and i have a couple 8" and had a 10" reg motoros that are not ?

I have thought the same thing but never done any reasearch on it
But I agree

Most people dont have motoros older than 3-4 years. And i have seen what 10-15 year old fish look like. Some may grow slower. But in the end, they all get huge...
