Painting black tomorrow, and hopefully buffing it out with some novus.
Not quite back Ken. To the pbass game anyway. I have a unique opportunity to set the tank up instead of putting it into storage. One of my really good friends owns a bait shop and to bring in some foot traffic we are putting the tank in his shop as an attraction. We are going to stock it with Ohio natives, but mainly fish he sells as bait and fish you can catch in our area of southern ohio.

That is cool. I want to do something similar but Hawaiian native brackish. Can't wait to see your setup. Going to say it before Gangster....we both have girl dog tanks. Girls just wanna have fun! haha
Haha I'll def post some pics on here once I get it going. Shouldn't be too long. I have all the room in the world behind the tank so filtration should be cake

+1 hey bass is bass; and would definitely attract fisherman. Hey they might not want to see fish they see everyday while fishing anyways.

While I agree with you all, I don't exactly trust having expensive cichla in a place I cannot control them. I'll be doing the regular maintenance on the tank weekly but I will not be there everyday and there can be a few goon d**ks that come in there on a regular basis that I don't trust as far as I can throw them.

If your doing the tank maintance it's a good start. Pick up some local big bass that need to be re homed.
Big cichla will attract more attention than lmb etc...
In top of that...I would be more worried Bout my tank getting scratched etc in the shop.

And honestly, there are no cichla in my area ( that I know of) none have been sold from any of the LFS's I go to and haven't for a long time. Closest to me would prob be around Columbus which is 2hrs away. I'm not going to be able to monitor who feeds what in the tank. I just don't want to pay for any fish right now and take a chance of one of the guys throwing in a sick minnow nd killing off all my fish.
