So mad @ microsoft. 360 melting discs

This is just another thing in the "con" side for the 360. I need to buy a system, and I can't decide which to get, I would much rather have the 360 for the games, but I don't know if I can go buy a machine that I know screws up so often.

If you buy a new machine or the elite system you are guaranteed a good system. The only ones that are having the issues are the first wave. So unless you are buying a used machine you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Is this an opinion or fact?

Also, if the new parts are "good", why don't they insert those into all the machines they get back that are broken? Why do people need to send their's in numerous times?

BTW, I'm not a techie, so if these are silly q's just bear with me...:)

Its a fact. They changed the position of the cooler so that its actually cools the system heh. Before it wasn't blowing correctly. I am not exactly sure how you can check to see if your model is a good model but their is a way.

Well, I haven't bought one yet, but if it can be guaranteed that I won't have the red ring, among other issues, I think I would buy a 360. I wish it had blue ray, and I'm not going to be able to play god of war 3, but the other games and online play might make up for it.
