Thanks for the compliments. Lot of work setting it up like that.

Ive found that the bunch of cory cats are fantastic at hoovering the bottom. So happy with them. They are always so busy.

I dont mind doing a weekly 40% water change. I do want to set up a drip system. Getting the chlorine out of the new water has been a question for that set up.

Seachem Prime is used by many fish keepers to dechlorinate. It also works against chloramines. Most recommend dosing for the total tank volume rather than the percentage of water changed out.

Hello; At some point soon you should get water quality report from the water company that supplies you tap water. If the tap water contains chloramines you will need to use a water treatment chemical treatment such as Safe, prime or some other brand. If the tap water has only chlorine you will have other options.

to simplify matters for you.. and they can be simple ...ONCE you have the tank CYCLED, and stocked...if you have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites ,you have adequate filtration for your stock ... if you have ammonia &nitrite you MAY need more filtration.. or bio media..

or down size the stock, more filter does not mean more fish, I over filter, this does not mean i can have more fish in the tank, x amount of ammonia going to mean x amount of nitrate, no mater how much over filtration I have , water changes stay the same.
