" So My CK is a Vegetarian "

My new little 5-6 inch CK wouldnt eat anything I put in the tank. I put shrimp pellets, hikari carnivore sinking pellets, hikari food sticks, FD shrimp and nothing. For 5-6 days now I have been pretty damn worried, but then I went to feed my pleco with some algae wafers and BAM, my CK was on it like a fat kid on cake.It seem that my little dude is quite the vegetarian now, and will only eat tetramin "the rich mix" tablets and algae wafers....both are primarily vegetables....anyhow, how long is my fish gunna be a hippie for? I suppose I'll feed him this for a while and try to vary the diet up a little but is anyone familiar to this or had the same thing happen to them?

Never heard of such behavior... But het, drop a dimebag and some rolling papers in the tank and see if he can make use of it

I have added algae pellets to my Ck's diet..i figured later on when he has to compete for food or when i have to feed others something else he will eat it all.. and he does.. shrimp pellets, arow pellets, freeze dried shrimp, frozen silversides, in fact anything and everything i throw in for him.. and this is the guy that would only eat live food.. so keep trying everything..

Well, hopefully he'll grow out of it soon enough. Might as well throw some spirulina in there too, and some berkenstocks, and some tie dyed tee shirts, and some LSD.

Both my CK and RCK like algae wafers. They eat almost anything I put in there. I have to feed them first or my pleco and big severums dont get much. My RCK will eat until he looks like a python that just swallowed a deer.
