Both my CK and RCK like algae wafers. They eat almost anything I put in there. I have to feed them first or my pleco and big severums dont get much. My RCK will eat until he looks like a python that just swallowed a deer.

Yup, I notice that my other CK eats like a pig. Gut makes a little bulge and I stop feeding him, dont wanna over feed.

Never heard of such behavior... But het, drop a dimebag and some rolling papers in the tank and see if he can make use of it
