Canada, eh.
So I wake up this morning and look at one of my tanks to see my 3" Giant Danio missing...hmmmm.

So I look around, and see my little 4" Jag resting on the bottom corner of the tank, looking fat as all heck. He's not really moving much at all either. I couldn't believe he was able to fit the danio in his mouth, let alone all of it! Should I be concerned at all here, or is this just his reaction to having all that extra weight in him?

On a plus note, at least I won't have to feed him anything over the weekend, as I'm sure he's gotten his fix ;)

I should have known better, I got some Salvini fry (1.5-2") and was told by the guy, "Sure, they will be fine in my 125 with my Lil' Jag (at the time 2.5" himself) JD, Lil Texas (same size as the Sals) Lil Uro, and RD.

So what happens not 20 Minutes after??

My Jag is in the top corner, looking like a largemouth bass with a Sal in his gullett, with the Jack trying to get him to spit.

So I took every thing out, caught the 2 of the 4 that made it the 20 minutes. Caught Mango, got him to spit (Thought he was gonna die chokeing on that Salvini!) and all is well.

Now the Sal's are doing great in a 55 with much larger Sev's and Sajica, and are not bothered at all.

My point? I knew better, yet didn't really think as well as I should, and my Lil Jag (Mango) will eat anything he can grab now.....Danios?? Lunch!

But he seems to tolerate (not even give a 2nd look) to my Uro and Tex who were the same size (at the time) as the Sal's.

:WHOA:

So is it normal when this happens to have them go into hiding afterwards? I'm suprised he didn't choke on the thing myself. Hopefully he'll come around this weekend.

i had a giant danio with my female red devil this danio was huge like 4 or 5 inches and then he died from my convict killing it i was pissed...he was like 4 yrs old so i feed the convict to my pike....luckily the convicts are over populated..lol
