theyre free swimming now. i'm guessing they'll look like the red isletas then later on some will fade and look like the red devil

That probably wouldn't be the best decision. You have no idea how they will turn out. For all you know it could end up an ugly gray fish or end up looking like a midas. They might turn out OK. I'd play it safe and stick with the FH. In the end, It's your decision.

idc man my fh just had some fry and i have tons so were both out in the dark, i dont plan on breeding them but to keep them and grow them out.
