so, Now my water is cloudy.. WHY? pls help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I THINK an algae bloom has a strong green tint to it. A Bac Bloom is just cloudy, hazy water--a white/gray shade to it. Keep waiting, it'll go away.

I would try a 3 or 4 day black out of the tank, turn lights of do not feed fish and totally cover the tank so no light can penetrate it leave 3/4 days and you should see an improvement, the bacterial bloom I had has cleared after 2 days but my water was a white color yours definitely looks green from those photos

it seems to be getting very cloudy now.. im going to say "it gets worse .. much worse, before getting better?"

how would i know/tell the dif between a Bactria bloom or an algae bloom?

Ok so your water is saturating with bacteria that are eating the nitrites and ammonia/ co2 in a normal situation. Once it establishes on hard surfaces and filter surfaces it should do it from there.

If you get a large amount of ammonia nitrites or nitrates treat with seachem prime
