It would have been fine if the heater had stuck off... but it cooked them I have 2 Heaters in every tank to help prevent the tank from getting to cold ( tank in the garage in Canada... more likly to have a cold tank than one thats to hot ) one will handle these tanks but I'm always trying to double everything to prevent issues... this was just one of those fluke things

the tank was so hot that their skin was melting off of them when I found them makes me think that both heaters had a problem but one shut off before I saw the situation.... so I'm replacing both heaters on that tank Just to be safe
