lol thats pretty funny! Blue Arowana Black Arowana same thing both are Osteoglossum ferreirai. People collecting them in the wild are changing the name to get them past customs in the countries of capture because there are more restrictions being placed on them due to the decline in wild populations since all black aro's afaik are wild caught.

So do you still have this silver aro that you got 6 years ago?

a blue arowana is just the adult form of the black arowana!
yes sometimes people dyed the silver blue, but a dyed silver is noticeable from an adult black. adult blacks have a dull metalic gunpowder grey body with blue tails and orange edges. blue dyed silvers are fully blue. ok i admit maybe i should have done my research, but shouldn't lfs people be honest?

Not at my house, I have a 19" BLACK arowana. Black aro is the most used common name for Osteoglossum ferreirai. Don't believe me, just do a google search for each. Some research may do ya some good.

Id go back to the shop and smack em lol or nick me a blue from em.
Maybe not but i would be so angry, thats just proof that you should not believe everything they tell you in the shops.
