I knew donnie darko was newer, but for some reason i would have sworn tears for fears covered the song and I don't know why, but I did research it and it is infact a tears for fears original and a Michael Andrews/Gary Jules cover.
either way, I think it's much more powerful as a cover version, I cannot stand the original and I usually feel the other way around in regards to cover songs.
ahh i put it off for a few days, but finally watched it. the song just makes it even sadder. at least the little dodo was brave enough to fulfill his passion/life mission-some people arent ever so brave.
