So tell me about Jardini....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah Jardini's are cool fish compared to silvers they grow pretty slow though, so if you are starting with a grow-out tank you will have some time before an up-grade.

it is a wonderfull piece of nature. like any other aro. if it is what you can get jump for it, nothing, but nothing compares ( not to u , but ) to Aros.LOL
Take care with small aros, main thing imo, is to have it in a place where nothing is agressive to it..let it eat, take posession of the tank, be the boss..she'll start, a baby, to swimm like she was the meanest and toughest fish in the whole river...I think you notice I love them..jump for it! You will not regret one second.

Thanks for all the support :) I'm debating whether to get the CKF now aswell, but I definatly plan on the Aro :) One last question...what kind of lighting do they prefer? Dim? Do they like plants in the tank?
Cheers,
Paul

They don't have a problem with plants but I have found they do not like bright light.

Oops, sorry mem, I was just going to ask the lighting Q, but sort of got carried away ;) I'll be sure to get a nice big wand. If I'm splashing out £40 on the thing, I think I can buy a bubble wand aswell :) I know £40 may not be much to some people here, but I've never spent more than £10 on a fish :D
Paul

Edit: Sorry Sunpoe, we posted at the same time! Thanks for the info on lighting :) If plants aren't required, then I'll just skip that because I don't really have green fingers when it comes to tanks :D

i dont think they care if ur light is dim, bright or no lights at all.
It would depend on how u want to see ur fish. i actually experimented changing tube from marine-glow to power-glo to warm white to aqua-glo and the fish doesnt really care. i ended up mixing power glo and aqua glo.
btw, dont turn ur lights off to complete darkness in a second as it can scare ur fish and jump.
