Critics i read point to this being lousily written...

Yet the theme interests me. Stephen Hunter and Gerald Saymoir are the best depocting snipers....

And the best sniper was a guy in Vietnam...

Carlos Hatchcock,93 kills.

Exactly!

I'm always lookin for a good fantasy or SciFi read.

A friend over on that side of the fence (points toward AC) suggested the "Destroyermen" series by Taylor Anderson...Read the sample Amazon gave me and enjoyed it. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/Into-Storm-De...8&qid=1364322846&sr=8-6&keywords=Destroyermen

Try some of Joe Abercrombie's stuff ( not all ), Richard Morgan. Try the Prince of Thorns books ( can't remember the guy ) and that awesome canadian that wrote the Prince of Nothing Trilogy, for instance..

No Easy Day is on my list of upcoming reads....

If you are into good Fantasy, i can point you to a lot better, Dragon.:)

When I want real good fantasy I just go to another site and take part in debates watching people use flawed arguments as to why they need to boost their ego or using ancient stories to explain their bigotry and narrow mindedness. Now that is some tale telling.:D

For scifi/fantasy books I'm into Asimov, Heinlein, Dick, Verne, Anthony or heavy duty science.
