just picked up this guy today and been told that it was a blood parrot and i don't think it's a blood parrot
so what is it?

Looks like a blood parrot to me. Remember parrots are highly hybridised fish, so they are never going to look the same everytime.

From lenght and girth proportion, Looks like a skinny baby male King Kong parrot.. But I dont know beyond that.

How big he is?

feed this fish all he can eat. They have huge appetites. I dont think he's been fed enough. His red will be intense once adapt
