I've always been a huge fan of Omega one and Hikari. Top sellers at the stores i work at. Seem to have the best everything as far as I can tell.

I wonder if my pleco's are the exception ive tried feeding right before lights out and after lights out. Always same results. Strange too because I know their hungry my tank is sparklingly algae free.

That is pretty strange. My pleco immediately finds the hikari wafer shortly after i drop it in and goes to town on it, and i almost always drop one in in the morning, not at night.

Hikari staple for the Oscar and GT. Can't afford them expensive Hikari pellets(gold,bio-gold and what not). I do use the Cichlid excel by Hikari for the Sevs. It has veggie like stuff in it and the sevs are crazy for it.

Omega One is farrrr superior to hikari. That's not my opinion, that's the ingredients. Hikari's cichlid based food is good, but the rest of it is run of the mill flake food.

my sevs love hikari cichlid excel and hikari cichlid bio gold i use these as my main staple and also feed tetra color flakes (droped of some fish at the lfs and he gave me the big can for the fish) but hikari is the wayto go great color and growth
