Spoken like a true lurker. lol! Joking of course but seriously thanks for the input though I'm not sure I agree. I do see up and down swings in posting but I was under the impression that we where on an upswing though my perception is probably based more on me being more active now and therefore just assuming the same about others. You can see by my post count that I'm not exactly a overly active poster and much like you I probably only feel the need to post when I have something to contribute worthwhile. Still when I see a good pic I try to compliment it because I know that it's a skill that one has to put quite a bit of effort into, much like when I see an impressive fish or tank. By the way nice avatar pic.

so? gonna comment on JS avatar fish but not on my jag avatar? and yup that's my Jag, she a sweetie. but back to the point, lot of posts here, stuff gets pushed back to the second and third page in a matter of a few hours, so folks may not even see them unless they go back a page or so, not something i usually do as just to many posts to go through.

Lol! Sorry, that is a sweet lookin' Jag though! I know sometimes threads get pushed back but in the Photo Lounge they just sit there a lot of the time. I'm wondering if people are simply more inclined to comment in specific sections rather then the photo lounge, perhaps it's just a relatively dead section that most don't feel inspired to contribute to.

Very cool, that's what I like to hear! We definitely should support each other as that's the best way to grow, through interaction and the transfer of thoughts and opinions. Even photographers we can benefit from opinions, perhaps all black backgrounds are more appealing in fish pics or perhaps pics with good backgrounds no one will know what the general consensus is if no one says anything.

Another thought I've had that xander has seems to have beaten me to the punch on is better illustrated fish profiles, maybe time he and I collaborated as I would like to see MFK profiles appear in google searches over SeriouslyFish profiles(which by the way is a pretty good source of basic info.).

I personally never go there, I hit new posts, respond to what I feel is pertinent to me, wither it be some one that has a problem, or new posted pics. by the time I am done posting on the first page that I feel I may have input to and hit refresh there is either contributions to what I just posted or new posts. I know how that feels though in my case it's usually because I'm so long winded others have beaten me to the punch by simplifying what I would have said and beating me to posting it and I figure why bother repeating their valid info. unnecessarily. Still repeating a compliment is different in my opinion. Nice O by the way, like the up close shot!
