So Wrong

"...keep goldfish, betas or any other "easy-to-maintain" fish in a cool happy home on a wall!"

That's what is wrong with it. A goldfish in that thing is inhumane and disgusting. If properly cared for, the betta can handle it, with regular water changes. But keeping a goldfish in there is something that is cruel and negligent, and just plain pisses me off. I hate @$$holes who make money off of fad objects that involve living animals.

The lfs's arround here sell like 3-5 gallon tanks that looks like a wall mount flat screen tv or picture frame

Bee shrimp maybe?

Its all about the fish keeper not the fish.

 you can still put neons in them.

if you want the neons to die.

this type of tank is only really suitable (not a choice word) for fish with labyrinth gland. eg bettas and gourami. otherwise you need some way to breaks the waters surface to oxygenate the water. that would mean a wire and some kind of pump up the wall. personaally i dont think its right to keep bettas in small water volumes despite the way this happens in the wild.

These are not new, I had two of them when I was like 14. I had one on each side of an Axl Rose poster above my bed :shakehead

I had to do water changes daily, which eventully ruined the poster of my "rock god" because of dripped and splashed water. What really sucked was when my red betta jumped and I woke up with a dried up fish on my bed. That was the last and only time I've kept bettas. Poor fish, I wish I would have known better, but I was assured by the LFS that the bowls were the perfect home for bettas. :(
