Yes, that's Pictus Blurrius, the new fish from the fault zone. They say it adapted its current place at the fringe of solid reality as an adaptive response to earthquakes. Apparently those fish least stressed by the horrid shaking survived to produce even blurrier fish. Once in captivity, bad photography and tanks that suffer vibration frequently quickly pared the genome down to just the blurriest specimens and those are what we see in tanks today.

Monster quality for sure. Not in raw Monster quantity but in refined Monster quality. A large population here will always be content with giant fish that mess up decor, so it's hard to have both. Unless you have many tanks to work with, I suppose. My 125g is still barebottom and fugly but I'm practicing my plant skills now in small tanks. Someday I'll probably get my 55g all amazon-ed up.
