Soaking driftwood in tub will leave a tannin residue...

OMG i nearly crapped myself....big 3ft piece I had soaking for 4 days, adding a few kettles of boiling water everyday, over top of the wood. Drained it on the 4th day, BIG BROWN RING all the way around the tub. I thought it was permanent. My wife would've had my head, considering she agreed to have a shower at her mom's the entire time....got out the scrub brush and came off, but Lordy, it was close to a heart attack for me. lol

Same here, but she did buy a few 55 gallon rubbermaid cans after i did it once

Yep, the girlfriend wasnt happy with me, there is now a list of items that are not for aquarium use. Or for me to use in general
