well to be honest my approach is as follows:
1 - if you get healthy stock (as in this case from the looks of it), you probably do not need to do that whole disinfecting thing with an existing tank... when i set up my wild discus tank, i used 1/2 tap water treated and half cycled water from my other discus tank and put the fish inside. my approach may be more haphazard but it works. i'm not suggesting that you take risks, but if all your fish are healthy to begin with then there really isn't a big chance from the way that i see it that anything is going to be caught.
2- during quarantine, that's when you really isolate the wild fish. you don't mix water, nets etc. until you are confident that the wild fish are clean. to be honest unless wild fish come in poor arse condition you would quarantine them as you would your normal fish from the lfs or what not. it's only when you have fish that are clearly ill then you get all paranoid. i dunno, i've kept wild stuff before, and i was super paranoid about my discus, but they were out swimming about and doing well 10 minutes into their new tank. my wild discus are from this same vendor btw.
3- if you want i can pay for your fish first and you pay me back at the event. it's no big deal for me, really. i just want you to not have regrets

(make sure you are there though cuz i probably will be spending the day in LA and won't go home till late)
i really don't want paypal to get in the way of things. but only since i know you will i do this! haha...
so let me know, and pm me if you are interested.
cheers.
