I always wondered about aquariums in an earthquake. Anybody ever have any problems?

me too! i was away in a family party in SD and kept thinking if my tanks was okay when i got home. luckily they're alright!

My 1600 gallon outdoor pond lost about 50 gallons from the sloshing (tsunami style). I just filled it this morning so it was up to the rim. When I got home this evening it was about 2 inches down and the pond's edge was all muddy.
Checked on my 260 and it was fine. A little wet on top only.

My tank in SD is good. They said it was a 7.2.

that's good then! if my tank can withstand, then shouldn't have to worry. news said today's quake actually registered more on the ricter scale than the one in haiti sp. which was a 7.0.

I wish i can say the same.. my tank suffered....

What happened?

the back panel of my tank suffered.. It either hit the stucco.. on my wall.. Its Out door.. or something shifted the tank.. i had water level higher than usual.. and now the back is cracked..

Its a lost.. but i got the tank free.. it was fun while it lasted... but on the bright side it gives me a reason to rush to a new 180 gallon tank... ;)
