We went fishing up there once..all we caught was Stripers, Cats, and Carp.
I wish i had some land...

I agree most of them are great aquarium fish, i have 2 green sunfish that i absolutly love, and a mess of baby bullheads.

But it would be cool to go somewhere and catch somthing different...i guess the only place is florida...or asia

ive pulled some HUGE:WHOA: cats outta there. a few stripers, Tule perch, carp, LMB, green sunfish. and some long minnow lookin fish. they got teeth, WATCH OUT!

What were you using?

I went back this weekend, and saw a few small fish, and a few big cats swimming around, but didnt catch anything.
 
Ive caught oscars in a community lake in Irvine. Fight like champs. If Os got as big as LMBs do, we would need saltwater gear in local lakes. These things peel off line.

use shad, trout, chicken liver, shrimp. crawdads. and Crickets work wonders in early mornings.
 
rent a boat.. and go out into newport area...
before i left for china.. ive had a chance to catch some nice fish..
last year i caught 3 barracudas.
