fish are all pre-order.... if there is no market for those fish... then the "dyed fish market" will die off....

Yeah, I agree. although it has it be said that if they didn't supply, people wouldn't miss them either. After all, it was the suppliers that put them there in the first place.

You missed the point Neo. No use defending the crackpots who came up with them and put them on the market in the first place It is just an unfortunate side effect that people decided they would buy them, and mostly by people who don't know what they are 'cos the supplier gives them a hip name instead of "dyed fish". The suppliers are just as guilty. What makes it worse, is the fact that I know many LFS's that put orders in with their suppliers, and any "out of stock" items are replaced with this months "funky" dyed fish. That isn't supplying a demand, that is forcefully off loading them onto someone who never asked for them. And its not as if you can send them back

your LFS you are reffering to must not have too many options....... I know i would'nt be able to keep any loyal customers if i sent " this months Funky Dyed fish" as a filler or replacement..........

I have seen Betta's packed just like that at an LFS I go to.... Maybe that got them from there.
