Hi,nice pond,sorry for your loss!

Thanks guys-
Ok, heres what happened- remember after the big jar jumped I got a 15" silver and a 14" black to go with my 14" black aro that Ive had since he was still losing his juvenile black color- and I thought that he was the most beautiful black ever- even while living with a leichardti, somehow he stayed flawless and brightly colored- until last week when he jumped out- luckily I heard him flopping around in the 2" gap behind the sump- I got him quick and handed him off to my buddy to put in the tank- in my haste I got sorta stuck under there- but blacky lost his entire tail into the meat, 1/2 of both barbells, tons of scales, and pounds of fins- since the silver was a way more active fish- he was accused of scaring the black- so he was off to the pond- along with my 13" florida gar- just cuz-

but I didnt want it to be a death wish, so I had to come up with another fence quick... or, a greenhouse- it has been much cooler at nightand come morning it was 68-70- so a PVC greenhouse over the pond, filter, and waterfall. without touching any heaters the temp shot up to 84 OVERNIGHT! It was a bich to feed or do anything though- so I framed a 4'x2' PVC hole and a door from clear corrugated plastic thats used on geenhouses and PVC- I made hinges from the PVC too- Ill take some daytime photos later, but I got these for now-

ha! yeah right! its already a handful- I didnt want it more permanent because almost 3 full seasons its already warm enough that the heaters dont come on, so as much as I like the greenhouse, I like the open pond better

Heres the daytime pictures that I said Id put for you guys(and dames too)-

see with the glare- its difficult to see the dark fish-

the filter- its one of the old 150g ponds- the pump is off a 24' swimming pool
