"Soda Can" Endlies

They are very cute, but just not my thing.
Most LFS here sell them, but the real nice ones are from places like Aqua Bonito, polyfarm, big-in etc. Very expensive and mentioned stores will not ship outside Japan.

Hey TGM, do they allow those fish to be brought out of the country? I might be visiting Japan during the holidays and wonder if I could bag some of those premium fishes

Oh man, I had a prob with this. I was stationed there and was going to go home. I went to buy some saltwater fish told them what I wanted to take it home and they wouldn't sell it to me. I was in okinawa, but they said customs wouldn't allow it.

I Don't know about laws getting stuff out of Japan.
But you are welcome to stop by our place for some sake & sushi!
 
I've been trying to get in touch with GEF with no luck :( . I was told that was my best bet for getting fish from Asia to the USA.
 
You would be better off contacting their dealers.
And even then they are not worth looking at anymore. Gef are nothing like they used to be.
Now when I was picking up my Nigerian Endli from Polyfarm the other day, I got a chance to look at the 2011 "Dory-K" breeds.
That is seriously impressive, but serious serious money too!
 
I wish when I visited japan 4 years ago that I was imto fish keeping. Never fathomed to go to any stores. Miss their food a whole bunch. Us has nothing on japan.
