Hi,
My Turtle is FAMILY: TRIONYCHIDAE (Softshell Turtles) Indian Flapshell Turtle (Lissemys punctata andersoni).

My Turtle's age is 4-5 years old & its Single Female.

the problem is since last 2 weeks my turtle has stopped eating anything at all...

And also its shell & skin has started pealing off, & its bottom shell is breaking also...I'm really worried now...because only last week i checked my turtle & above things were happening to it.

here you can see current now pealing off Skin,Shell & bottom shell breakage pictures pics:

what do i need to do, to help my soft-shell turtle?

waiting for your help.
thanks in advance.

Did you end up moving it to a large enough tank with proper filtration? Your last post about it you were keeping it in a 30 gallon (and before that it was living on your floor I seem to remember).

i do got the fish tank....but this turtle is always trying to move out as if it hates water or something...
and if kept in tank for long, then its shell has wave shapes on it...like we human have on our hands if we go to beach or stay too much in water...

yes i got water filter & bubble maker(water ever call this thing)...

i did visit pet shop keeper...he said in winter turtle's get Pneumonia(cold fever) very easily...so keep it warm with a bulb...and it will start eating again...

but how to fix the shell & skin breaking off??? is it because of cold??

i did put Mustard Oil(we in south asia use it on skin & hair treatments) all around it & before i used Vaseline petroleum jell on its skin & shell... & its dry skin became soft again...But how to Fit the Broken/Teared Off skin???...should i put Stitches on the Broken Skin & Shell???

How big is the tank??? A turtle of that size needs something like 36"x18" minimum and a good filter... It's trying to get out because it needs more space...

You need a heater (with a cover so it doesn't burn itself) to keep the water at 70 degrees.

Don't rub human topical treatments on it. It needs antibiotics added to the water.

EDIT...

Wait, are you saying you still let it run around on the floor??? It's an AQUATIC species, that's why it's shell looks like that. It should spend 95% of it's life in water!

It's like me saying "My dog is sick all the time from being wet, because I keep it in my pool..."

its shell started breaking off was because pet shop keeper said it needs river sand because it digs in it & stays...
i brought sand from river & always it dig inside it (wet sand) & throws all sand on its back(shell) And makes a breathing hole & slept...
i think it over-dryed its shell & skin... now i took the sand out of its tank ( its tank was in 2 parts 2/3 water & 1/3 river sand(basking)...

you mean to say i should keep it all day in water??...what should be the water height in the tank??? my tank height is 2-3 feet.

antibiotics added in water wont go in its lung too much??...u mean antibiotics cream for shell or for feeding the turtle??

The water height should be roughly the length of the turtle's shell, which in your case was about 8"? Post a picture of the tank...

Perhaps, instead of asking all these questions on here, you should Google "softshell turtle care" and then you'll know what to do.

@ mr.reef24

i got only one vet hospital in my city(may be country)...its is also madical college for animals(Vets or what ever you may call it)...

i did go to the animal hospital & one of the Vets told the Truth is we always do our work & study on land animals (dogs, horse etc etc) but not on Water animals, you should go & meet our most senior doctor...

I went to meet the Senior Doctor...and he said the same thing that all our lives we only got Land animals & their is no other Aquarium Water animal Vet/hospital he knows of... so he said best solution is, he gave me a address of a pet Shop which deals with Aquarium Animals & said "this guy you now got 35 years of sale & Care Experience of water Animal, only he can Help."

And i have already posted above that what that shop keepper told me to do...

TODAY I WAS MOVING MY WATER TANK TO THE UPPER FLOOR & IT CRACKS ON HITTING ON STAIRS & NOW ITS BROKEN!!!!
No one got hurt....

But guys help me bit on this...
Now i got 2 Different NEW Water Tank Options:
1) made of Fiber Glass
2) made of Simple Glass(usual glass)

My friend is an artist & a sculptor so he will make me a Tank with Fiber Glass. So guys suggest & show me good design for Water Tank (my turtle size is 8" from head to tail, when head is inside the shell).

Or should i stick with a Simple Glass Water tank??

Because my Friend told me Fiber glass is Expensive so it will cost me least $80 USD (Rs 6,600) to build one (he will make it for free but i will be bearing the Expenses of Raw meterial Requires that is Fiber Glass).

Simple Glass Water tank will be much cheaper, but plz show me its design that i will build my self.

I would go with the fiberglass design because that turtle needs to have a huge space and a regular glass tank I am sure would cost more at a large size than the fibeglass. I would suggest a 2' deep by 4' wide by 6' long design so that the turtle will have room to grow, fill the tank halfway with water and add something for him to climb out on and bask. also keep sand in the bottom.

good luck mate, I feel bad for your turtle.
