Oh, and this might sound weird, but baby turtles can drown in deep water. They will basically swim themselfs to death. So there has to be shallow areas for them to sit with their head sticking out of the water. Once they are larger you don't need to worry about this.

What kind of salt do you use? I have problems with my Chinese SS getting fungus every once in a while.
