Its a high-powered T-5 fixture

I'd suggest keeping fish for a year or so before attempting to keep a discus tank. The main thing is to be able to maintain a lower ph between 5.8-6.8 and be very discipline on your water changes. They are very sensitive to nitrates and a poorly maintained aquarium will lead to problems.
