Yeah when I worked at home depot we sold both types of Quickrete sand, play and regular, both work just fine, I use a mixture of it for my turtle.

alright, well atm, he is in bucket, he is smaller than the owner said, tomorrow I think the trade for my 100 for a 125 and stand may be down, my 180 I got today came with a cascade, 500(??) so I will use that as filtration

The cascade 500, does 115gph and is rated for a 30g tank

I run a Cascade 1200 on my 65g tank...no way is that enough filtration for a turtle in a 100+ gallon tank.
