I came home from work one day and found that my neighbor had saved a softshell turtle form some kids that fished it out of the local nature park. The thing was all tore up from the hook that they used to catch the thing, and his shell was ripped up in the back from who knows what. It has now been four months and all is well, no signs of infection, mouth is deformed now because of the hook so I will be keeping him, and he gets along with everything in the tank. He only goes after the feeders that I put in the tank, leaves all the other fish alone, and kills them in a distrubing way I have to say, he guts them and leaves the tail and head behind. They are interesting creatures and love to hide under the gravel so keep that in mind and be carful when cleaning the tank.
