hi all, i am wondering which would be the best way to go about planting my aquarium. whether to use pots or go for a soil substrate with either sand or gravel or both on top. plz help :) i keep channa

thank you all for your advice, what about the anaerobic situation is that how you spell it lol. like how do prevent this from happening?

do you need to fertilize the potting soil or wil it have enough nutrients in it to sustain a heavily planted tank

I've never used it, but it should start off fairly well fertilized. Water (and water changes) will leech out the fertilizers, though. If you're heavily planting a tank, you'll need to add ferts to the water and/or plant tabs to the soil.
