Yes I can only imagin what you pay in the UK Best way would be a heat exchanger and cover your pond or cut down the surface area where heat is mostly lost. I know of a few projects we did back east with radiant heating within the pond floor however this was on a new build. If you want more info let me know and I can dig that up

It cropping up more and more over here. Heating pipes installed into the concrete base, trouble is I've never seen one myself only read and seen pictures, again even so it comes down to keeping the heat in to make any heating cost effective.
